Most of the people around the globe depend on their WiFi connection to access the internet. Well, this is pretty obvious as once you buy a router you can easily access internet on almost all of your devices like your laptop, mobile, Smart TV.etc. Setting up a WiFi router is easy as well. Just pick up a great name for your WiFi SSID that you could think of and type some random password like 'YourName1234' and BOOM! You're done.

Well, hold your horses! The above method might seem convincing but it is not really secure as modern hacking apps can easily crack those password by brute-forcing. If you have an old router, it can be easily hacked as well. Once the hacker is connected to your WiFi network, your data might flow down to the hacker's jar. Several apps like WiFi WPS WPA Tester can crack passwords within a fraction of seconds if WPS is enabled in your router settings. I would highly recommend to turn WPS off.

Here are some tips with which you can secure your WiFi connection :

1. Disable WPS by going to router settings.
2. Turn OFF guest networks.
3. Create a strong, long, nonsense password that no one can guess.
4. Use Access Control feature (available in the modern routers) to block unknown devices that are connected to your network.
5. Update your router firmware.

With that being said, take the security of your WiFi seriously. Afterall, it is always good to be cautious before some hacker breaks through the unsecured wall and steals your valuable data.
