If you own an Android device (especially a Micromax handset), you might have seen some annoying ads in your notification area. The best way to avoid the ads is to buy an iPhone *a tense silence* I'm just kidding, Happy April Fool's Day! Anyway, so today I'm going to show you how you can remove those annoying ads permanently and live a peaceful life. Let's get started!
STEP 1 :
First of all, you have to wait until the ads show up in your notification area. Once the ad shows up, press the ad until an option named "App info" pops up. Tap on "App info" and you'll be taken to the system app manager where you'll be able to see the name of the app which is sending ads. (For Lollipop and Marshmellow users - The app name directly shows up.)
Now you just have to note the app's name. In my case, it was 'System Update'.
STEP 2:
Now head over to the Play Store and search for this free app - NoRootFirewall.

Download and Install it.
STEP 3:
After installing this app, open it and tap on "Start", it'll ask for your permission to create a VPN, just hit "OK".
Now, every application that is requesting for internet connection will show up on the "Pending Access" tab. Only allow the application that really requires an internet connection (like WhatsApp, Google Play.etc).
STEP 4:
This is an important step - Go to the "Apps" tab and look for the app that is sending ads to your notification bar.
Once you find it, just look for the rectangular boxes just beside the app's logo and DOUBLE TAP on EACH of them. It'll look something like as shown in the screenshot below.
This will not allow the application to access internet connection and thus, ads will not show up in your notification bar.
If ads are still showing up, you can 'Force Stop' the application by going into 'App info' in the Settings.
